Implementing a strategic overhaul focused on transforming the client from a domestic to a global organization. In addition, the client needed to significantly accelerate the process of readying leadership.

This challenge required:

  • Inspiring leadership to embrace large scale strategic overhaul
  • Readying leaders to rally their teams behind the new strategy
  • Ensuring leaders are armed with an understanding of how to enable the strategy
SOLUTION
  • Designing and facilitating a multi-phased, intensive two-day workshop (Design Session) for 100 members of their top leadership teams. The workshop was designed to:
    • Build enthusiasm and understanding around the future vision
    • Strategize about enabling capabilities
    • Develop and rehearse a communication plan
  • Planning a successful workshop including:
    • Partnering with top-level representatives from across the organization to identify workshop goals
    • Conducting focus groups to surface questions and concerns among senior leaders exposed to the new strategy
    • Teaming with business leads to identify the right information to have on hand during the workshop, and packaging it into highly synthesized and engaging visual content
IMPACT

After this two-day workshop the organization was able to:

  • Quickly and consistently socialize and cascade key messaging on the strategy
  • Leverage cross-functional teams to do real work on enabling capabilities
  • Make measurable progress in each of their five strategic platforms
